The Film & TV Educators Network (FTVEN) is a non-profit organisation which aims to celebrate and bring together those working in film, television and screen education across the UK. We do so by organising free CPD and networking events, as well as resources for teaching screen subjects.
The Network was initially created in 2022 by educators at the London Screen Academy, and was relaunched in 2024 thanks to funding from the Screen Academy Foundation. The Film & TV Educators Network and its full-time employees (Programme Lead) sits under the Day One Trust.
Going into 2026, we have over 800 members across the nations and regions, teaching at all levels from secondary through to Higher Education. We believe there is excellent teaching practice all over the UK and that by connecting educators to each other and to the screen industries, we can all contribute to supporting the best possible outcomes for young people studying screen subjects.
