4Skills/Channel 4 apprenticeships: available across departments, from Level 3 to Level 6. Annual application cycle, usually in winter.
BBC apprenticeships: available across a range of departments, from Level 3 to Level 6. Annual application cycle, usually in the autumn.
Film Distributors Association traineeship: paid 12-month film distribution training, run annually, including ring-fenced places in Wales.
ITV Early Careers: offer apprenticeships (usually advertised in January) and a graduate scheme
Next Gen Skills Academy apprenticeships: focussed on post production and VFX
Sgil Cymru apprenticeships in Wales: available at Level 3 & 4
Sky Early Careers: offer apprenticeships and graduate programmes across a range of departments including Business, Technology, Data and Customer Services
Warner Bros apprenticeships: offer apprenticeships across a range of departments

BBC Taster Days: run several times a year
Banijay UK: offer 2-week work experience placements in unscripted television
Channel 4 Virtual Work Experience: open to 14 year olds and above across the UK. 1-week placements, available several times a year.
Freemantle Media: offer a few days of work experience in London offices
Love Productions: open to CV submissions for work experience
NBCU: 1-year internships at London office, usually starting in the summer
Neverland: 6-week advertising internship in London, available annually, usually in the winter
Northern Ireland Screen trainee scheme: open to 18 year olds and above, for new entrants interested in production, craft and technical departments
Screen Alliance Wales: offers traineeships and work shadowing opportunities
Screen Skills Trainee Finder: annual application round, usually at the start of the academic year
ScreenWorks: open to 14 - 19 year olds in Northern Ireland. Placements across a range of disciplines, available several times a year.
Sony Pictures: 1-year internships at London office, usually starting in July
Warner Bros: 1-year internships for university graduates, across a range of departments

Arts Emergency: mentoring for 16-18 year olds in London, Manchester or Merseyside; applications usually open in September
BFI Film Academy: for 16 to 25 year olds. Free training available across the UK in a range of departments. Also includes the free BFI Lab online webinars and talks.
BFI Skills Clusters: between 2023 and 2026, funding has been allocated between 7 skills clusters to deliver training across the UK:
Create Central (West Midlands): including Skills Accelerator programme, with two free courses for young people: Film & TV Fusion (for 19+ year olds), and Rock Up Ready (for film/media university graduates).
Film London: training is delivered by the National Film & Television School, with free bootcamps & taster days available across a range of disciplines.
Northern Ireland Screen: includes free trainee and placement schemes
Resource Productions (Berkshire): includes regular networking events, and free screenwriting and filmmaking workshops for 11-19 year olds
Screen Scotland: includes the BFI Film Academy annual programmes for 16-19s in Scotland
Screen Yorkshire: including bootcamp training and the Connected Campus initiative
Sgil Cymru, in partnerships with Screen Alliance Wales & Creative Wales: includes free bootcamps and taster days at NFTS Wales, and the SAW/C4 Screen 4 Schools programme.
Creative Mentor Network: for 16 - 27 year olds from lower socioeconomic backgrounds. Website also includes live jobs board
Creative Access Springboard Programme: for young people from underrepresented backgrounds
Edinburgh TV Festival’s The Network programme
Grierson DocLab New Entrants scheme: annual training programme, for 16 - 25 year olds interested in documentary and factual
Iconic Steps: free courses for 16 - 35 year olds, in London and around the UK
Mama Youth Training Programmes: For 18 - 30 year olds from underrepresented backgrounds, in and around London. Several rounds per year.
