The Film & TV Educators Network (FTVEN) is a non-profit organisation which aims to celebrate and bring together those working in film, television and screen education across the UK. We do so by organising free CPD and networking events, as well as resources for teaching screen subjects. 

The Network was incubated in 2022 by educators at the  London Screen Academy and is now part of the Day One Trust, sitting under the umbrella and the newly-created Creative Educators Network.

We are now over 1,000 members strong with representation across the nations and regions, teaching at all levels from secondary through to Higher Education. We believe there is excellent teaching practice all over the UK and that by connecting educators to each other and to the screen industries, we can all contribute to supporting the best possible outcomes for young people studying screen subjects.

  • Alice Guilluy

    PROGRAMME LEAD

    Alice is the first point of contact for the Film & TV Educators Network, and looks after its everyday activity. She has a background in Higher Education, having previously led the MA programmes at MetFilm School London and the BA at the London Screen Academy. She is obsessed with romantic comedy: her PhD thesis Guilty Pleasures: European Audiences and Hollywood Romantic Comedy from King’s College London was published by Bloomsbury Academic in 2021.

  • Jamie Waller

    CO-FOUNDER

    Jamie is the Director of the Creative Educators Network, which the Film & TV Educators Network is part of. Previously, he was Assistant Principal for Teaching & Learning at the London Screen Academy, and Director of Sixth Form at South Hampstead High School GDST. He is a visiting fellow of the Ambition Institute and a Teach First Ambassador.
