We are delighted to be part of three exciting events to round-off the 25-26 academic year!
These events are open to all screen educators and include a free visit to Sky Up Academy Studios, Elstree, and online Film & Media Education Conference in partnership with Into Film and Media Education Association, plus our final end of year FREE celebration event in partnership with the English Media Centre.
As we enter the last few weeks of 2025, we want to thank our fantastic network members and everyone who has supported us to deliver our free CPD events, resources, and community this year.
At the time of writing, we are a few members shy of 850 screen educators, careers advisors, and industry specialists from across the UK. The Film & TV Educators Network is now reaching further than ever before, and in 2026, we aim to expand our events even further.
During my time at university, many of my class had just seen The Departed (2006), and we shared with one of our lecturers how much we’d enjoyed it. Her response was to laugh at us and imply we were idiots because none of us had seen the original film, Infernal Affairs (2002). Now, as a teacher myself, I can understand her frustration, but I can also see an opportunity for her to engage with us about something we were excited to explore. As you might imagine, her response to my excitement didn’t encourage me to watch Infernal Affairs, and also didn’t encourage me to continue to share my opinions in the classroom.
