Weekly Resources Round-up: 9 October 2026
The network team collates resources from multiple sources each week to share with educators, which may be of interest to you, and your students or alumni. These resources are not necessarily created by us and the original source will be linked for you. If you have resources you would like us to share in the future, as a member or an industry representative, please email us at hello@ftveducators.net.

Resources for Educators
University of Westminster Screen Futures project
A widening-participation initiative supporting young people wanting to study screen production at University level. There are 6 short videos which let students know what admissions academics look for in strong applications (including in personal statements and moving image samples/portfolios). Screen Futures is about making a career in screen production possible for everyone in the UK, regardless of background.
BFI Player’s Free Collections
Our blog piece highlights useful materials for your teaching from the platform’s free section, including short films by young people, masterclass recordings and more.
