Celebrate the End of the Academic Year
We are delighted to be part of three exciting events to round-off the 25-26 academic year!
These events are open to all screen educators and include a free visit to Sky Up Academy Studios, Elstree, and online Film & Media Education Conference in partnership with Into Film and Media Education Association, plus our final end of year FREE celebration event in partnership with the English Media Centre.
SKY UP ACADEMY STUDIOS VISIT, 17TH JUNE
Join us on Wednesday 17th June for an afternoon at Sky Up Academy Studios Elstree, exploring how our hands on, immersive experience introduces young people to the world of film, television and screen careers.
This free event is open to screen and media educators and provides the opportunity to visit the studios, take part in short experience tasters, and hear from a panel of industry professionals offering wider insight into the screen sectors. The session will also provide an overview of work taking place at Sky Studios Elstree focused on skills, access, and routes into the industry.
This special event will run from 3:50 pm to 6:30 pm and will conclude with an opportunity to network. A full itinerary will be shared following event registration.
FILM & MEDIA EDUCATION CONFERENCE 2026, 25TH JUNE
We are delighted to be supporting Into Film and The Media Education Association (MEA), alongside English and Media Centre (EMC), for our first, joint online conference discussing Film & Media Education in 2026.
At this online conference, you’ll hear from a wide range of experts about the UK landscape of film and media education.
We’ll explore:
‘Media teaching: present and future’, with the chance to submit your questions in advance to a carefully selected panel of experts
Future-looking screen education practice across the UK, with representation from England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales
Transferable skills in media, film, games design and creative tech
Low stakes practicals research

FRAME FORWARD 2026: END OF YEAR CELEBRATION EVENT, 2ND JULY
Join us to celebrate the end of the academic year with a FREE event structured around sharing ideas and best practice in screen education. This event is open to educators teaching all screen subjects and will run in two strands. You can choose between:
Strand 1: A day of reflective pedagogy sessions, peer clinics and best-practice activities
Strand 2: Skill-building with a day-long smartphone filmmaking workshop
We are delighted to be able to offer this event free to educators at the English Media Centre offices in Waterloo, London.
