After the success of our Production Accounting event last year, we're excited to bring back our Career Spotlight Panels series, specifically designed to help educators bridge the gap between industry and education. These free panel discussions highlight key roles in the UK screen industries facing skills shortages, providing invaluable insights for teachers looking to enrich their curriculum and guide students into in-demand careers.
VFX is a vital component of modern film and television production, and its processes can be highly labor-intensive. On large-scale projects, VFX departments often involve hundreds of skilled professionals. This panel will focus on the in-demand role of VFX Compositor.
Our panellists will include Philip Dyas, Programme Lead for Film Production at Varndean College, and VFX Compositor Vish Panel, who has worked with leading studios including MPC, Framestore, Outpost and Pixomondo. Specialising in Film & TV, he has contributed to major productions such as The Little Mermaid, Loki: Season 2, Wonka, Knuckles, and the upcoming Doctor Who series.
